Pooh Is That You Bertie and Dirty Bertie are part of a collection of books about Dirty Bertie that range from noisy picture books through to chapter books. They, as the titles would suggest, are not designed for people of a ‘sensitive’ disposition! But those that love smells and rudeness, like most children do will absolutely love them.

The version of Pooh Is That You Bertie that we received was a noisy picture book all about the fact that Bertie likes making smells but as you find out in the book he isn’t the only one that trumps! The language used ranges from trump to boff to poot and on each page you get to press the button to hear the noise too. My 6 year old thought it was so funny and naughty that he has read and read it and it has also had the accolade of being taken to school for show and tell.

Dirty Bertie is about the fact that Bertie used to have dirty habits such as eating sweets off the floor or hunting slugs in the garden and my boys favourite page weeing on the flowerbed and how he has learned to stop his dirty habits except for one.
These are very funny simple books about subjects that children find hilarious with brilliant comical illustrations and they are certainly well read already in our house.
